Why I Race

We’re on the cusp of racing season so I’m going to do a bit of navel-gazing about why I race bicycles.

1. I primarily race because it gives me an excuse to train, which I love to do. Training, in turn, allows me to not feel so bad about the entire bag of pork rinds I ate today.
2. Racing allows me to take unpaid vacation days to travel to exciting destinations such as Springfield, MO, Fayetteville, AL, and Burlington, IA.

**Disclaimer** We are not a RACE-only club. I’m posting this in response to a request to do so. The club does lots of non-racing stuff.

NATURE VALLEY RECAP(S)

We are all still alive and now returned to our somewhat normal lives until the next tornado of bike racing hits.

Team Revolution’s first NRC races proved great learning grounds as the team gained confidence and cohesion racing in big, fast fields together. With a handful of successes in local races, four of the girls jumped into fields of 60+ riders without reservation.
