Moved.

In lieu of a true update for last week’s activities, I’m doing a brief, abridged recap:

Yesterday I got to ride. In the woods. With a group of women. That coordinated via facebook, texts and voicemails beginning at 9pm on Saturday night. That is what I love about this community. As I was dressing for the second cold ride of the weekend, I couldn’t help but notice the pile of ride-trash accumulating in my vehicle. Why I Race

We’re on the cusp of racing season so I’m going to do a bit of navel-gazing about why I race bicycles.

1. I primarily race because it gives me an excuse to train, which I love to do. Training, in turn, allows me to not feel so bad about the entire bag of pork rinds I ate today.
2. Racing allows me to take unpaid vacation days to travel to exciting destinations such as Springfield, MO, Fayetteville, AL, and Burlington, IA.
