The mountain bike version of Team Rev’s FrostBike series will begin NEXT WEEKEND - February 6th/7th and continue each weekend in February. If you haven’t already signed up, go to the Sign Up! link on the home page and get to it!

FrostBike MTB is four consecutive weeks of mountain bike riding at Castlewood park. We will complete rides that will be appropriate for all levels because we want to encourage each and every girl who participates. There may be some girls who continue to ride after the Team Rev FrostBike sanctioned ride. We encourage everyone and anyone who would like to stay around and join them as they see fit.

There has also been talk of social gatherings afterwards. We have two members who live close to Castlewood who specifically mentioned opening their homes for some socials, so… stayed tuned!

    How FrostBike MTB works is:
    1) You pay $50 if you pre-register for the ride series online. It's $60 if you register at your first ride-cash or check made out to Team Revolution is accepted.

    2) At the first ride you sign a waiver of release and provide name, address, phone number and email address and verify your t-shirt size. Note: If you pre-register online you will be asked to submit your t-shirt size at that time.

    3) You will be reimbursed $10 for every weekend you ride. If you ride all four weekends, you will be reimbursed up to $40. As rides are offered on Saturday and Sunday, you pick which day fits best into your schedule. Please feel free to ride both days if you would like at no extra cost! Remember to check in with the ride lead at the beginning of each ride to receive credit that you were there. Plan to arrive at 8:30 to get ready as we will clip in and start riding at 9:00 sharp.

    4) When you have completed all four weeks, you receive the coveted FrostBike t-shirt for bragging rights! And, as mentioned above, you will be reimbursed $10 for each week you ride. If you ride all four weekends, you will be reimbursed $40. If you would like you can use that money to roll over into a Team Revolution membership. If you are already a member, the funds could be used to increase your level of membership. This is a great deal, because being a Team Rev member offers you lots of great benefits! To review some of those great bennies, go to this link: http://www.teamrevcycling.org/join.html

It will be up to the ride leaders if a ride has to be cancelled due to trail conditions. This information will be posted on the Team Revolution forum by 7:30 a.m. the morning of the ride. Check the forum frequently for updates. Any questions, post here.

    Let’s rock those trails!

Can someone get a t-shirt even if they won't be able to participate till the last weekend? I would love to be there all month but I don't think the American taxpayer would be down paying for me to go home just to ride.

great question, Lo! anyone interested in rolling over their FrostBike Road $ into the FrostBike MTB series needs to communicate those intentions to Cheryl this weekend at your final FBRoad ride. also give Cheryl your t-shirt size preference. FrostBike MTB t-shirts are long sleeved.
