   This Saturday (1/16/10) will be the Alpine Shop's first Dirty Girls ride for the year. Like last year we will be heading to Lost Valley. Unlike last year, it looks like it might be a tad bit warmer. Last year 12 girls rode in 16 degree weather!

   These rides are listed as a no drop ride. When necessary we will split into multiple groups so all can enjoy the trail. These are mountain bike rides so a mountain bike is necessary. Also, please dress accordingly. You will want to bring your own water, tubes, and snacks.

   We will meet at the Alpine Shop Saturday, Jan 16, at 8am to caravan to the trail head. If you prefer to meet us there, we plan on leaving from the trail head at 9am. The trail head we are referring to for Lost Valley is at the main parking lot. For those joining us late, we will go clockwise on the trail.

   I was wondering about the DG 2010 Schedule.

   Cant make it to this first one (gotta do my Jan "Outside" century)

   Do you have the rest of the dates? (Don't really need the destination yet)

   Just trying to fit it all in & still take down my Christmas Stuff - whaaaa

   The November ride for the past two years has also been the Beaverman weekend. We are all busy so we try to make it easier.

   Cannot do the DG Lost Valley this weekend. Joe, Steve's (of West county cycles) father died this week and funeral is Sat morning. A wonderful man who will be missed by many.

   Have a good time ladies, be careful and enjoy! If its not too muddy, the new trail at LV is loads of fun!

   So I went there today to ride. It was a frozen sheet of ice. I actually only made it about 1/3 of the way into the first single track area. It was more scary coming back down the double track. I know it warmed up some today which might have helped with some melting, but it will freeze again tonight. The trail needs a little more time.

   I'd like to postpone this ride until next Saturday, Jan 23. As of this posting, same bat time, same bat channel.

    I know this is going to totally surprise everyone, but we won't be riding Lost Valley tomorrow :( With all the melt and rain this week and projected rain tomorrow, it would be extremely careless and thoughtless to ride any mountain bike trails tomorrow.

    So, look for our next Dirty Girls ride - Saturday, Feb 20 at Matson Trail.
