Great Rivers Greenway and the Cardinals are having a Bike to Busch on 9/18/10.
There are discounted tickets to the 1:15 game against the Padres, pre-game festivities and secure bike parking provided by MO Bike Fed. Anyone want to join me in riding to the game? I did a similar event in May - I rode from Manchester, met up with friends in Forest Park, and continued on "Open Streets" to the stadium. Let me know if you're interested so I can coordinate tickets with an inside source...
One, to have something to ride on during poor weather and two, I have had so many talk about cyclocross that it has sparked my interest. Does anyone have any recommendations or advice about a bike or gear?

First, I ordered one of your awesome jerseys when I paid my membership dues.
Then when I was surfing your site, I noticed a Sept 2nd deadline. Please tell me I didn't miss out. Second, I did not see anymore Wed evening rides on the Septemeber calendar. Sept - Nov are some of the best months to ride. Please fill me in, so I can join some groovy gals!

Hi Ladies,
You may have seen the commercials for Clean Bottle during the Tour De France, or even noticed the guy dressed up as a water bottle running along side the racers in the mountains.
Andrew from Clean Bottle sent me an email asking that I share their special deal with you. I figure it can't hurt. If you are interested in buying Clean Bottle, then why not get something free with your purchase!?
I haven't tried these and can not vouch for them personally. If you have one, let use know what you think of it.

Andrew says "It's a 100% non-toxic cycling bottle that unscrews at both ends so you can clean it out and dry it easily. As an athlete it has worked great for me and I think it will for you too.
We are running a special promotion where if you buy 3 you get 1 bottle for free. To access this deal go to www.cleanbottle.com/buy.
We also donate 10% of profits to cycling and eco friendly charities that you
can vote for on our website."

got a note (see below) from a friend looking for a used road bike for his wife. if anyone knows of anyone looking to get rid of a road bike, let me know. email SuzanneR@TeamRevCycling.org THANKS!!!

She is 5'4 and has a very short torso so she may need a women's specific bike. We are looking to spend up to $750. If you know of any ladies who are selling a road bike that might fit her let me know. We are not too picky on the components, we just want something in good working condition that fits.

Ride Difficulty – Moderate
Bike Preference – Road Bike

MONTHLY SHOP RIDES

These rides start and end from each bike shop that sponsors Team Revolution. The ride starts at the featured shop and will follow that particular shop’s ride route. Our goal is to acquaint riders to these rides, so you can feel comfortable showing up on your own or with friends sometime for the shop’s weekly ride. The Team Rev Shop Rides will be on Saturdays and are considered “no drop rides”. We will have a ride leader and sweeper to assist in keeping the group together. This months schedule is:

8/28- Sat 8 a.m. – Mesa Cycles, 1035 South Big Bend Boulevard,
St Louis, MO 63117-1605, (314) 645-4447.

We are going to meet @ 7:30am for a 8AM roll out start.

PLEASE park in the OFFICE DEPOT Parking lot across the street.

If you need a quick pick-me-up before the ride - There is a Panera Bread Co just around the corner on Clayton Rd. (we can use their bathroom facilities as well :)

This is a "no drop" ride. Please bring: ICE Water, TUBES, Pump, or CO2, water and snacks. We will have fun!!!

If you have questions, please call Dessa at 314-580-0640

Currently there is no formal weekly Mesa Shop ride but we will do an out an back loop and end up with about 25-30 miles. The rte I'm thinking of doing has rollers and maybe a couple of effort roller climbs - but nothing realy steep or long.

Ghisallo - will honor 15% off of any shop items and 20% off any labor for Team Rev member purchases - so take advantage of this discount and pick up anything you may need for the next few weeks after the ride!

Hope to see you all there!!!

Let me know (here on the Forum) if you plan to attend :)

Gateway Cup has a new venue!

Benton Park plays host to the final day of the GWC on Monday, September 6th. Teresa and I need your help letting Benton Park residents know that cyclists will be taking over their neighborhood on Labor Day. We have important information to distribute to residents about the race, street closures and race day parking. Residents need to be aware of (and ideally involved in) the race to ensure its success. Help us spread the word.

Meet at 3015 Salena / 63118 (warehouse looking building with black awning) at 6:30PM on Friday, August 27 (this Friday) to help us go door-to-door with flyers. We don't need you to ring doorbells or talk to anyone (unless you want to!). We'll be leaving info in mailboxes and on cars.

Post-distribution we'll grab dinner and drinks at Venice Cafe.
