Meeting POI (Points of Interest)

We saved some of our most exciting news as one of our final announcements at last night’s quarterly meeting. AeroCat LLC will be providing the elite race team with bikes for the 2009 season and has generously agreed to offer our club team members special pricing on all available bike models. AeroCat is a young company based out of Portland, Indiana. They share a history and vision with Team Revolution. We’re proud to partner with a regional bike company and encourage you to check out AeroCat’s website to learn more. And yes, of course, we’ll let you test our bikes as soon as we get our hands on them!

Now onto the meeting…

If you were not already familiar with Team Revolution’s new website prior to the quarterly meeting held at Velocity, you have now been made aware THE WEBSITE. It’s new. We’re proud of it and apparently can’t talk about it enough. If you haven’t had a chance to explore THE WEBSITE, you should check it out. Seriously. Like right now. Go on!

All the topics covered at last night’s meeting are covered, in more detail, on THE WEBSITE. Have questions about our new membership levels? Check out THE WEBSITE’s membership page. Wondering what clinics we have in store for you? Check out THE WEBSITE’s clinic pages. Not sure what time spin class starts. Check out THE WEBSITE’s calendar. Did you know Team Rev joined Twitter? We did! Soon you will be able to read our Tweets (yes, tweets!) on THE WEBSITE’s home page to follow your favorite pro-level team with live updates during races. See how useful THE WEBSITE is.

Ok, in all seriousness, while we certainly used the club meeting as a place to plug the new, visually appealing, informative, functional and intuitive website Chris designed for us, we also hoped to generate excitement about several developments we have in store for you in 2009. A more formal approach to membership means a more formal approach to providing you with value. Expect to see new rides, more clinics and increased sponsorship from local bike shops and industry sponsors. As we grow in membership numbers, events offered and sponsorship benefits extended, we remain deeply committed to our mission: Team Revolution exists to teach and inspire women of all ages to ride for competition, recreation health and fitness.

Team Revolution’s elite team members race at the highest level of the sport while joining us in actively promoting and supporting this mission. We were thrilled to officially announce our elite team roster at last night’s meeting and to share it with you here:

Carrie Cash / St. Louis, MO / Cat 1
Bri Kovac / Indianpolis, IN / Cat 1
Julie Bishop / Lakeland, FL / Cat 2
Chris Roettger / St. Louis, MO / Cat 2
Louise Turner / Bloomington, IN / Cat 2
Katie Weber / Indianapolis, IN / Cat 2

Thanks to everyone who came out last night.

See you at spin tomorrow,
Carrie, Chris and the Team Rev Board

at the risk of sounding pushy I found a review of the bikes we’ll be riding. the info is a bit long-winded and techy, but pretty darn close to my own impressions.
