Madones Are IN!

It’s official! Jay Thomas and the crew at The Trek Stores of St. Louis, Omaha and Kansas City really did us up right by supplying us with the top of the line rides. Our elite team will be rolling on Trek’s highly celebrated Madone 6.5 WSD with a paint job you won’t see anywhere else. While our relatively unposed pictures don’t do it the justice this beautiful frame deserves, we had to bring a towel to gently wipe off our drool. The mantra “we are not worthy” kept playing in my head. The thing is, we’ve got a squad that I believe is worthy and will put these bikes where they belong–on the podium.

While final frameset pieces arrive and the riders stock them with components, we’ll have to be patient. In the meantime, you can bet we’ll be reading up on the vastly celebrated reviews of this bike’s “great stiffness and comfort qualities” Here’s a glazing I found on a quick google search (seriously, I don’t make this stuff up!):

“Ladies, if you are looking for a light weight racer or a very good sports bike then these cant be beaten.”
“For the serious racer or racing enthusiast who is looking for nothing less than the best because thats exactly what the Madone 6.5 WSD delivers, the best. Uncompromising performance in which every single part is hand-picked and chosen to give every single women cyclist to race at their best! If you’r eserious about your bike and meticulous about having the best bike out their then look no further because you have found that dream bike except it no longer lives in a dream.”

From what I can tell, it appears that Trek has delivered a bike that is; as advertised, a best-in-class road-racing machine.

“HOLY $(*#$&@# CRAP. This is illegal. I’m not kidding. For one, the freewheel makes almost no noise. It’s a quiet, lower, and softer clicking as you coast….So right off the bat, the first thing I notice is how quiet the bike is. Literally AND figuratively. It’s like a person with quiet confidence or quiet intensity. That’s the best way I can describe the feeling when you first get on.”

We’ll keep you all posted as we ride it to make sure it lives up to the hype. See better documentation of the bike’s beautiful aesthetics at www.trek.com.
