Dogwood Road Race

There is one word to describe it: Hilly.

Wow. It’s wierd to ride for nearly 55 miles and have 2nd place decided by a 200 meter sprint; but that’s what happened. Pam Hinton (Mercy Cycling) managed to stay off the front after her first attack at mile 12(!). Wow, again. It’s kind of a blur of hills, wheels, pavement and waves of calf-cramps for me. I ended up covered in salt and utterly exhausted.
