**Disclaimer** We are not a RACE-only club. I’m posting this in response to a request to do so. The club does lots of non-racing stuff.

Here’s an infographic I did last year hoping to explain some of the dynamics of “crit” racing. I had planned to do a series. I haven’t. Don’t make me feel guilty. But feel free to let me know if you find this useful (and wish to see more).

Girls. Ladies. Moms. I’m putting together “something” for our new website and/or 2009 promotion and identity. I’m looking for a comprehensive collection of bike- and portrait-related photography. Taken BY OUR MEMBERS (no cruising Flickr for other people’s photos).
Send me (digital) pictures of you…on your first bike–at age 3, 23, or 53; your hardest ride; you or someone recovering from a ride, climb, or fall; you get the picture (no pun intended). I’m looking for photographic documentation on what it means for YOU to ride. What do you see, feel, remember, revere? It doesn’t even have to have a woman OR a bike in the photo, but something that directly relates to riding (i.e. roads, hills, vistas, and so on). And if the photo includes people–while I’m not saying no boys aloud–women and girls should part of the main focus.
I’m trying to be vague, to get a wide variety to chose from, I may or may not use any or all of it. But I’ve got a little brainstorm going on in my head and I don’t have much non-racing bike photo documentation
This “thing” is about YOU, for you…now give me what you’ve got. Send photos to chris (at) stlrevolution (dot) com. I prefer Flickr or other photo sites, but can also receive direct attachments (please, none over 10MB at a time).

Team Revolution believes everyone has a story and we want to hear it. We also believe that there are companies out there that have the same passions about cycling as we do when it comes to giving women a chance.
Trek is looking for women of all ages (21 and up) and all types of riders — from first-time riders to first-time racers, commuters to cause-related riders, riders who want to lose weight to those who want to train for an Ironman. All that matters is that you’re eager to ride. And eager to share your experiences.
Check it out! Way Cool!!

July 19-25th marked one of the most sought after rides of the Midwest. In it’s 36th year, RAGBRAI is the longest, largest and oldest touring bicycle ride in the world. Started in 1973, this is no race, but a ride across Iowa, averaging 472 miles, all of which are not flat. There are 8,500 week long rider spots and 1,500 one day rider spots. There is a lottery for those wanting to gamble. In 2007, there were 800 over the limit, so riders were turned away after the lottery spots were filled. Interested? Learn more about it!
Wonder who, wonder what, see it for yourself
Our very own can attest to the wonderful world of RAGBRAI!!! Read the recap.
